Celebrating our Trustees During Trustee Week

Last week, we celebrated Trustees Week and we wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to the amazing trustees at Home Start Cymru. Their unwavering commitment to our cause and their invaluable guidance play a vital role in the success of our charity.

At Home Start Cymru, we are fortunate to have a group of trustees who are not only dedicated but also deeply passionate about promoting the well-being of children and families in Wales. They bring together a wealth of knowledge, experience, and diverse perspectives, creating a formidable force for change, growth, and transformation.

We spoke to some of our exceptional trustees and got an insight into what drives their dedication and why they find their role so fulfilling:

Catriona Williams OBE:

“I enjoy being a trustee because since I retired as a CEO of a national charity a couple of years ago, I have been able to continue contributing to my lifelong passion of promoting children’s rights, especially those of young children living in families that need some extra support.”

Jonathan, Chair of the Board:

“I enjoy being a trustee because I meet a wide range of fascinating people from different backgrounds. We are united in wanting to support the staff and volunteers we work with and in seeking to make a difference for the families we serve to give children in Wales the best start in life.”

Helen:

“I am both privileged and honoured to be a trustee at Home Start Cymru. This allows me an opportunity to contribute my insights and experiences to help make a difference to the lives of young people both now and in the future.”

Carol Ravenscroft:

“I love being part of the Home Start Cymru family. I’ve been a voluntary Treasurer since January 2020, having previously been a charity Finance Director for 18 years. I can continue to use my skills and knowledge to support the work that our fantastic staff and volunteers do in supporting families across Wales because every child really does deserve the opportunity of the best start in life.”
