Good decisions need good evidence behind them. We work with families, partners and researchers to understand what helps babies, children and families thrive, and we share what we learn so others can use it to improve policy, practice and services.
Research is an important part of how we create change. We regularly collaborate with charities, public bodies, universities, networks and other partners across Wales to contribute family insight, frontline experience and evidence from our services.
Through these partnerships, we help strengthen the collective voice of the sector and ensure that the experiences of babies, children, parents and carers are reflected in research, policy and decision-making.
Family Voice and Lived Experience
Everything we do starts with listening. Through conversations, consultations, surveys, focus groups and our day-to-day work with families, we gather insight into the realities of family life in Wales.
This insight helps us to:
- Amplify the voices of families who are often underrepresented in decision-making.
- Highlight emerging issues affecting children and parents.
- Contribute evidence to research, policy development and public debate.
- Inform service design and delivery.
- Support collective advocacy across the third sector.
- Promote solutions that reflect what families say matters most.
