Sunday 3 October 2027 | Cardiff
Missed out in the ballot? Run with us. We have 20 charity places for the 2027 Cardiff Half Marathon, and we’d love you to take one.
Join thousands of runners on the 13.1 mile course around the capital, and run for families across Wales. When you join Team Home-Start Cymru, you’ll take on a brilliant race while helping us give children the best start in life.
Three reasons your support matters
- Help families feel more confident and connected. Our trained volunteers and staff offer early, practical and emotional support, starting in the home. In our 2025/2026 Impact Report, 87% of families saw an improved ability to cope with day to day challenges, and 72% of parents felt more connected to community networks.
- Be there early. Every family goes through tough times. Early support that is free, confidential and non-judgemental helps parents build confidence and strengthens relationships, so children can thrive.
- Every pound helps us reach more families. Home-Start Cymru relies on the generosity of individuals and businesses across Wales. Your fundraising helps us support more parents and children, because childhood can’t wait.

What we ask of you
- Pay the £30 fee to secure your place.
- Set up a fundraising online page through Enthuse and share it with friends, family and colleagues.
- Raise at least £250 for families in tough times by 1st September 2027. Gift Aid is a brilliant bonus, but it doesn’t count towards your minimum.
- Reach your fundraising milestones (excluding Gift Aid): £50 by 31 March 2027 and £150 by 31 July 2027. If you haven’t reached £150 by 31 July, we may give your place to another runner and your £30 fee won’t be refunded. We’ll always get in touch with you first.
- Pay in any money collected offline by 1st September 2027.
If you can’t run, let us know as soon as you can. Your place may be transferred to another runner for a £10 admin fee, where race rules allow, and the same minimum sponsorship applies. Please don’t pass your place on yourself.
