Home-Start Conwy to Join Home-Start Cymru from 1 April, Helping to Give Children the Best Start in Life

Home-Start Cymru is delighted to welcome Home-Start Conwy into its wider family from 1 April, strengthening support for families across the region.

This transition brings together shared values, local knowledge and a commitment to ensuring families receive early, compassionate support when family life feels challenging. Home-Start Conwy’s strong community presence and trusted relationships will remain at the heart of its work, continuing to support families across Conwy.

By working together, Home-Start Cymru and Home-Start Conwy will build on existing strengths, expanding opportunities to support more families through home visiting, group programmes and community-based support.

Jayne Drummond, Chief Executive of Home-Start Cymru, said:
“We are incredibly pleased to welcome Home-Start Conwy into the Home-Start Cymru family. Their deep connection to the local community, combined with their commitment to supporting families, makes them a valued part of our organisation. By working side by side, we can strengthen our reach and ensure more families feel supported, connected and confident, so their children can thrive.”

Home-Start Cymru will continue to work alongside local partners across health, education and community services to provide joined-up, early support that helps families build confidence, strengthen relationships and feel less alone.

Hugh Lomas, Home-Start Conwy’s Trustee Chair, said

“This is an important and positive step for Home-Start Conwy. Joining Home-Start Cymru strengthens our ability to support families and ensures continuity of trusted, local support within a wider national network.”

This marks an exciting step forward, with both organisations committed to joining forces and walking alongside families, creating a brighter future for children and families across Conwy.
