Our Community Ambassadors are at the forefront of local fundraising efforts, helping us raise the vital funds needed to support families across Wales. If you’re passionate about making a difference and want to take action in your community, this could be the perfect volunteer role for you.
What Is a Fundraising Volunteer (Community Ambassador)?
A Fundraising Volunteer, also known as a Community Ambassador, is a local champion for Home-Start Cymru. You’ll represent us in your area, organising and supporting fundraising events, connecting with local people, and helping spread awareness about our work.
Whether it’s hosting a coffee morning, running a raffle, or coordinating a sponsored walk, our fundraising volunteers help ensure that every family in Wales has access to the support they need.

Why This Role Matters
Home-Start Cymru supports families through early intervention and practical help — but we can’t do it without community support. As a Fundraising Volunteer, you’ll:
- Help raise essential funds that go directly to local family support services
- Enable us to reach more families across Wales facing crisis, isolation, or disadvantage
- Increase awareness of parenting challenges and family support needs in your community
